Welcome to Priory Cottage

In the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Minchinhampton is a small family home, an even smaller art studio and some big aspirations.

Inspired by the history and the nature surrounding Priory Cottage, and the region's cherished Arts and Crafts tradition, the aim is simply to create beautiful objects with love and meaning, to give pleasure to maker and buyer alike.

Specialising in glass, silver, paints and furniture restoration, using, wherever possible, found and recycled materials, and employing many other crafts and techniques, every creation is unique.

Who We Are

Jenny Nixon

Jenny trained in glass in the late 90s, in the sun-filled studio of Singaporean glass artist Mei Tan. Returning to the UK, she developed her knowledge with further courses and experimentation then underwent additional training in silverwork and furniture restoration.

Although she loves each creative discipline, her greatest joy is combining them into a new and exciting design.
David Duncombe

David trained in decorative arts at Royal West Academy and went on to specialise in historic building restoration. He has worked on ecclesiatical buildings, stately homes and many private homes in the UK and abroad, for clients including National Trust and English Heritage.

David taught interior design techniques and restoration skills in Exmoor and London and was technical consultant for Jocasta Innes' groundbreaking Paint Magic.
